Terms of Service
Draft · last updated 21 July 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Wellbeing Assistant ("the service") you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
These terms are currently a draft published for transparency during the private beta. They will be finalised and formally adopted before the service opens to the general public.
2. The service and its beta status
Wellbeing Assistant is a family wellbeing journal: you record actions, events and states, and the service computes correlation hypotheses, summaries and AI-generated commentary from your own entries.
The service is in active development and currently offered as a private beta. Features may change, be interrupted or be removed, and data formats may evolve. We work carefully, but a beta service does not come with production-grade guarantees.
3. Not medical advice
The service is not a medical device and does not provide medical care. Correlation hypotheses are statistical observations about your own journal; AI comments are generated by language-model assistants role-playing specialist perspectives. Neither is a diagnosis, treatment recommendation or medical advice.
Never delay, change or stop medical treatment because of anything shown in the service. For any health concern, consult a qualified clinician. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.
4. Accounts
You need an account to use the service. You agree to:
- Provide accurate sign-up information and keep your credentials confidential.
- Be an adult: accounts must be created and managed by adults, including when profiles for children are kept within the account.
- Use family profiles only for people you genuinely care for and are entitled to record data about.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
5. Your content
Everything you record — entries, notes, photos — remains yours. You grant the service only the technical permission needed to store and process that content to provide the features described in these terms and in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the content you upload. Do not upload content that is illegal, that infringes someone else's rights, or that concerns people whose data you have no right to record.
6. AI features
Parts of the service generate content with third-party large language models, as described in the Privacy Policy. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or misleading, and is always labelled as AI-generated.
AI commentary is provided for reflection and discussion with a real clinician. You agree not to treat it as professional advice and not to rely on it as your sole basis for health decisions.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law, or use the service to harm others.
- Probe, overload, disrupt or attempt to bypass the service's security or access controls.
- Access other users' data or attempt to de-anonymise other users.
- Resell, scrape or bulk-extract the service or its content without permission.
8. Availability and warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or the accuracy of hypotheses and AI output.
You can export your data at any time from Settings; we recommend keeping your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose during the beta.
9. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or endanger the service or its users; where reasonable, we will warn you first and give you the chance to export your data.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version, and significant changes will be flagged in the app before they take effect.
11. Governing law
The governing law and jurisdiction for these terms have not been finalised yet — they will be fixed by the service operator when these draft terms are formally adopted, before public launch.
